LG's cordless vacuum cleaner competes with Dyson

Loyalty is my nature. But sometimes you need to expand your horizons.

I have been a big fan of Dyson for many years. The animal vacuum cleaner is the only thing that can keep up with the relentless output of hair that my shedding dog will leave throughout the house. When the brand's cordless vacuum cleaner came out, I thought it could not keep up with my life. However, I need a more mobile device that is less troublesome when going up and down three flights of stairs. So, I finally tried one. Although I still rely on my plug-in version to handle large and messy tasks, wireless is an impressive additional feature that helps me keep up with my daily cleaning and saves me from the fear of falling down the stairs and Died in a vacuum.

When I got the second iteration of Dyson wireless devices, I thought machine learning and the ability to go from carpet to hardwood was genius. The suction power also left a deep impression on me. The soft brush attachment can absorb ultra-fine particles on the floor, and it not only blows the dirt I inhaled into the air. My only design complaint is that you have to use the trigger to power the device during the entire use-it bothers my wrist and I always wonder if it will fail in the end. A few weeks ago, when I started the main top-down cleaning of my apartment, I got the answer, but the trigger completely stopped working. Needless to say, I am very upset. Therefore, I started looking for alternatives and found that LG provides a cordless solution. The comments seem to be positive-even a former Dyson loyal supporter, in my opinion this is a good barometer.

I am no stranger to LG. The company has produced some great products that have kept my home healthy and clean all these years. In addition to their washing machines and dryers, I think they are the best washing machines and dryers on the market. I am absolutely addicted to my LG Styler steam wardrobe, which keeps my clothes fresh, clean and hypoallergenic. In addition It can also help me save dry-cleaning costs. I didn't know that they also made vacuum cleaners. For whatever reason, I think this is new to the company. However, I was wrong.

Dan Hayes, senior product manager of LG Electronics’ home appliances, told me: “LG has developed and manufactured vacuum cleaners globally for more than 40 years-first as an OEM, and more recently under the LG brand.” “With more than 40 years in this field With its knowledge and leadership, LG has recognized a gap-consumers have limited choices, usability and performance in high-quality cordless vacuum cleaners. In 2018, LG officially launched the CordZero A9 Stick Vacuum platform." Since then, the brand has launched again Two other versions were added.

I finally chose the CordZero A9 Kompressor with Power Mop Nozzle, which comes with a charging dock. I immediately noticed that LG's vacuum cleaner is much quieter. It also doesn't need to hold the trigger to turn on the power, which improves my user experience. "LG recognizes that consumers want to control and easily customize their cleaning work. Therefore, we can provide multiple power/suction levels, dual removable batteries, and multiple floor-mounted magnetic heads at the touch of a button, all of which are available Easy access through a portable charging stand. Therefore, unlike other Stick vacuum cleaners, consumers have full control of their cleaning tasks,” Hayes explained.

Some other outstanding features are LG's technology, which allows users to clean without frequently emptying the trash can, and is equipped with two rechargeable batteries that can provide up to two hours of uninterrupted cleaning.

"With LG’s unique Kompressor technology, users can enjoy more than twice the capacity of the trash bin (compared to previous models) with just one click of a lever, while still enjoying an easy-to-operate, lightweight stick vacuum cleaner. In addition, LG The Smart Inverter Motor™ provides powerful suction power on various floor types through a five-step HEPA filter function, helping to filter 99.9% of dust," Hayes continued. "For more convenience, it is equipped with a portable charging stand that can hold all accessories and can be connected to the ThinQ app to access a step-by-step guide for cleaning filters and setting smartphone reminders for routine maintenance."

Feeling a little dissatisfied with my broken vacuum, I want to know what the expected life cycle of CordZero is. "The company provides a 10-year warranty for its smart inverter motors. If any problems arise, their battery packs can be easily updated. In these cases, you can purchase a replacement battery ($99 on LG.com) and easily Replace so that you can resume operation immediately," Hayes replied. “It’s worth noting that most models are already equipped with two batteries, so users can enjoy up to 120 minutes of uninterrupted cleaning! In addition, all LG products have removable and washable filters that have a longer lifespan. Better performance and easy to replace. Therefore, in the end, between the 10-year motor warranty and replaceable batteries and filters, LG consumers can enjoy the long life of CordZero products."

Another unique feature of LG vacuum cleaners is the Power Mop accessory, which cleans hardwood floors and tiles and provides a perfect streak-free finish. "Just fill the reservoir with ordinary tap water-no special solutions or harsh chemicals-and attach the accessories," Hayes explained. "Because the vacuum integrated water tank can be removed for easy filling, the washable double-spun microfiber mat will automatically wet. The power level can be adjusted through convenient fingertip control (high, low, off level) to match the need for processing Chaotic situation."

So what will LG's next model bring? Hayes told me: "In October, LG will launch an all-in-one vacuum cleaner: the first fully automatic empty wand vacuum cleaner, which uses innovative technology to make the user's vacuuming experience more convenient. This new model is equipped with an automatic emptying in the charging stand. The dust box, so users don’t have to worry about dirty work or vacuuming. The charging stand is also equipped with all the accessories and nozzles of the vacuum cleaner for easy storage and access."

Although I still like Dyson, especially their air purifiers, in terms of vacuum cleaners, I think LG has surpassed itself and created products that are comparable to competitors.
