Dyson just solved all problems with its cordless vacuum cleaner

We call Dyson’s cordless DC59 Motorhead the first real replacement for a full-size vacuum cleaner, even with some annoying design quirks and limited battery life. The company spent nearly two years designing follow-up products, but the new Dyson V8 seems to solve most of our complaints about the original product.

The rechargeable battery on the original Dyson DC59 only has about 20 minutes of runtime. Therefore, you are either very active to clean as much as possible in a limited time, or move on to other tasks while waiting for it to recharge. However, due to the improved nickel-cobalt-aluminum battery, the new V8 can run for up to 40 minutes at a time without the suction power being weakened as the battery is exhausted.

Like DC59, the new V8 also has an optional "maximum" mode, which can increase the suction power to deal with elastic dirt such as animal hair sticking to the upholstery. On the other hand, it also reduces the overall operating time of the vacuum cleaner, but the battery operating time indicator added on the V8 can estimate your remaining cleaning time.

Another major setback we had with the older DC59 was emptying its collection box, which usually left dust and debris inside. Cleaning it is not a picnic, so in the new V8, Dyson uses a "sanitary dirt ejector". It is basically a rubber collar that can be slid down from the middle of the collection box to scrape off the dust and dirt stuck in it without your fingers getting close to it.

Other improvements of the new V8 include a more powerful motor, but a redesigned airflow, its running sound is half of its predecessor, a dust box 30% larger to reduce the number of times you need to empty it, and a special dust collector A soft roller cleaner designed for hard floors. The kit also comes with the electric cleaning head that comes with the DC59.

In North America, the Dyson V8 wireless headset will be available today on the Dyson website in Canada for $700, and will be available in about a month. It is expected to be listed in the United States in September at a price of $600. Is it worth the premium? We will review the new hardware in the coming weeks.

Soon after Christmas, I picked up Dyson V6 Absolute. Sears has a bunch of "used" (unopened, returned). We bought our machine for about $250, which is a reasonable price for the machine. I have a small house, so I can clean most things in only 20 minutes. We have a carpet in the living room, but the rest is hardwood and tiles.

The soft head used for sweeping is cool, but it needs to be cleaned frequently. The ordinary motor head works very well.

The trash can is cool, I want to know if it has a "movie" design that avoids the filter... Mine has two separate filters and I like to clean it once a month.
