Boxing Day is the perfect time to shop and save on useful gadgets that can make your life easier. One way to ensure you work smart and not hard in 2022 in by treating yourself to a robot vacuum.

Although these handy cleaning gadgets can be game-changers for keeping a clean home, certain robot vacuum models can cost upwards of $1,000. One affordable and top-rated robot vacuum making waves on Amazon Canada is the Lefant Robot Vacuum Cleaner, currently on sale for 20 per cent off as part of Amazon Canada's Boxing Day sale.

Lefant’s second generation robot vacuum allows you to vacuum and mop your home with easel. Instead of using a water tank, the vacuum features a wet cloth mop to clean your floors and features a 500ml dust bin and HEPA filter system to keep your home looking spick and span.

The unit itself delivers 2000Pa suction power with a slim design that allows it to clean under furniture including your couch and bed and can transition from hardwood to carpet with ease.

There are four modes of cleaning: auto clean, spot clean, along the wall clean and manual clean, allowing you to customize the level of clean your home requires.

The corresponding Lefant app allows you to schedule your clean and control the cleaning path of your vacuum. It’s also compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa so you can control your vacuum with ease.

The unit itself delivers up to 100 minutes of clean time or can cover approximately 1100 sqft before needing to recharge.

Lefant's Robot Vacuum has earned a 4.2-star rating based on more than 4,100 customer reviews from Amazon shoppers who have called the unit an "easy to use" gadget to keep your home clean.

“This is one awesome little robot,” one shopper said of Lefant’s “quiet” model with “good battery life.”

Another shopper said they were surprised how much dust and debris the vacuum would pick up, even if their floors looked clean.

“Where does it find it all?” They said noting that under their bed is “always clean” thanks to Lefant’s slim design.

“It gets all the pet hair and dirt,” another said. “Super easy to use and clean.”

While shoppers have said that the vacuum performs relatively well to its competitors, it doesn't have the same technology that allows the vacuum to dock itself when it's time to recharge. According to reviewers, the vacuum "takes a while" to get back to it's station and doesn't have the same technology as other brands that lets you map out your entire space to customize cleaning patterns.

Despite the drawbacks, Amazon shoppers still call Lefant's model a good option for daily dusting if you're hesitant to spend a small fortune on a robot vacuum.

Lefant's Robot Vacuum is a great option for anyone looking to cut down their manual cleaning time without investing hundreds in a high-end model. While Lefant's model might be smaller in size, it's a great way for pet owners to take care of the day to day messes and pet hair that can occur while spending more time enjoying their home.

If your home has lots of carpeting that's of medium height or pile, this model might not be for you. Lefant's unit is best suited for hard floors or low pile area rugs and isn't designed to pick up heavy messes or spills (think pet hair, dust, etc).
